Valéry Freland
Career diplomat, Valéry Freland has been the Consul general of France in Boston since September 2015. He is a graduate of the Paris Law Faculty, Sciences Po Paris and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA). He held positions at the Permanent Representation of France to the European Union (Brussels, 2007-2009), and the French Embassy in Tunis, during the Tunisian Revolution. He was the Diplomatic Advisor to French Minister of Culture Frédéric Mitterrand (2009-2010) and the Deputy Director of Culture, University and Research at the Quai d’Orsay (2013-2015).
