Laurent Burin des Roziers

Born in 1962, Laurent BURIN DES ROZIERS is currently special advisor and first speechwriter for France’s Prime Minister, Bernard CAZENEUVE.

From 2014 to 2016, he was in charge of religious affairs at the French ministry of the Interior, where he particularly contributed to the renewal of the institutional dialogue with the French muslim community.

A senior diplomat, he has previously served as cultural counsellor at the French Embassies in the United States (1998-2002) and in the United Kingdom (2010-2014), as well as within the French ministry for foreign affairs in Paris (directorate for culture and media, policy planning staff).

He is a graduate from the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris Sorbonne and Sciences Po Paris.
