Sylvain Bruni


Sylvain Bruni is President of the Board of Directors of Boston Pride, the non-profit organization that produces one of the largest LGBT Pride celebrations in the country. He has been involved with Pride since 2004, working first as a volunteer for several events, then as coordinator of the Pride Parade (2005-2006) and the Back Bay Block Party (2007-2016). He joined the Board of Directors in 2007 to supervise the organization’s information technology, security and communications, and was elected its President in January 2014. Sylvain was Co-chair of the 2012 Annual World Conference of InterPride (the International Association of Pride Organizers), held in Boston. A past Communications Co-Chair of InterPride, he is currently its Regional Director for the North East United States, overseeing its activities and 30+ member Pride organizations. Sylvain was also involved in multiple other LGBT community organizations in the Boston area, such as MIT’s LGBT alumni group, Fenway Health’s Young Leaders Council, and HRC Partners.

Sylvain was also elected Consular Councilor in 2014 to represent the 15,000+ French citizens who live in New England, for a six-year mandate. He has been involved in the French community, through local activism and politics since 2008. Sylvain was vice-president of the Français-du-Monde – ADFE chapter of Boston, and head of the local section of the French Socialist party. He managed the legislative campaign of Corinne Narassiguin, who was elected to the French House of Representatives in 2012, representing French citizens in the United States and Canada. Sylvain was also a founding member of the French American Chamber of Commerce in New England’s Young Professionals Committee.
