Pierre Sallenave


Pierre Sallenave is the Dean of the City, Transportation and Environment Department of the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, a prestigious French higher education establishment that trains engineers. He is also the CEO of the consulting firm Magellan, whose clients range from small businesses to CAC 40 companies. Passionate about sailing, Pierre frequently participates in races and is a member of the Royal Ocean Racing Club. Talented judoka and gifted chess player, he holds a PhD in algebraic topology. Graduate of Polytechnique and Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées, Mr Sallenave started his career in maritime affairs, for which he used to advise Prime Minister François Fillon. Prior to his current role, Pierre was the Director of the Agence Nationale pour la Rénovation Urbaine (ANRU), the public establishment in charge the national policy for urban renewal. During his mandate, Pierre transformed 500 neighborhoods and changed the lives of 5 million people in Metropolitan France and oversea.
